JERSEY CITY is located between the Hudson River and Upper NY bay across from lower Manhattan.  Jersey City has 11 miles of waterfront and significant rail and ferry connections for commuters traveling to NYC.   Jersey   City has an important role as a manufacturing center for the Port of   New York and New Jersey.
